Shirley’s Sheep
What better way to make a point than by offering beautiful, luxurious, hand-knit apparel for sale in a picturesque cottage where, from the moment you step inside, you feel you've been transported back to a simpler, sweeter, more wholesome time. This is the home of Hudson Valley Wool Works, the brainchild of entrepreneur and animal advocate Shirley Lindefjeld Bianco.
Shirley describes her commitment, “WoolWorks is a union of sustainable farming, ethical animal care, land stewardship and social responsibility working in harmony to produce some of the finest Merino and Shetland yarn in the world. We are an organic farm but our methods go beyond just organic farming. We are committed to preserving our environment. We are committed to preserving our agricultural history. We are committed to preserving our land. We grow and process locally. We call it conservation farming! It is local agriculture at work for a healthy community!”
Shirley's ethical hard work is paying off. Look for the WoolWorks label coming soon to popular high-end department stores.
