Fuel Prices
Frequently, the best perspective is a longer term one. And for those of us who do not follow commodity prices on a daily basis, we may miss these long-term trends until some event puts the trend on the front page. It's worth pointing out that fuel prices have been on a steady rise. The following chart is a five-year look at crude oil prices. We don't know where prices are going, but we do know that during the past year the payback from installing a Fuel Economizer has been cut in half, quickly providing a financial benefit to those who install them, and clearly benefiting the environment. We are seeing commercial financial paybacks in less than one year. And for each commercial installation, CO2 reductions generally range from 60,000 pounds to upwards of 150,000 pounds of CO2 per year!
