About Jack Hammer, Inventor of the Fuel Economizer
I first met Mr. Jack Hammer in his conference room at the modern offices of Intellidyne LLC located on Long Island, New York. Mr. Hammer has a warm hand shake and an openly friendly personality. He dresses comfortably in khaki pants and a white shirt with “Intellidyne” embroidered on the left front pocket. He has a shock of white hair and an easy smile. His usually relaxed attitude becomes animated and enthusiastic when talking about his conservation device we know as the Fuel Economizer.
Jack Hammer started his career over 30 years ago as a Temperature Controls Contractor in the HVAC and Process-Control industry where he designed and implemented all kinds of temperature and process-control systems. In addition, his background includes many years in the medical electronics industry. While working in his chosen field, Mr. Hammer saw “a real need and opportunity to reduce our impact on our natural resources and a marketplace that was severely lacking products of this type.”
The Fuel Economizer was invented in 1995 and has been in the marketplace for over 12 years, with approximately 200,000 installed to date. Mr. Hammer invented the Fuel Economizer “After seeing other products that focused almost totally on large commercial installations.” He noted that other products in the marketplace “didn’t perform well and caused all kinds of problems.” He felt there was an “opportunity to also provide energy savings to the residential marketplace using a different technology that has proven to work very well.”
There were many challenges in developing this invention but the most complicated part was “making the device save energy without sacrificing comfort.” All challenges have been met and the Fuel Economizer is well on its way to meeting the goal of 1,000,000 installed and then onto the next million. “That will mean a tremendous reduction in energy usage as well as pollution.”
With the success of the Fuel Economizer, Mr. Hammer is currently in the planning stages of developing other exciting, energy saving products to address the needs of homeowners and the environment.
